Is there any type of USB that I can connect to the iPod Hard Drive to get the songs out? Or should I just buy a new battery? and then take the songs out?

i had opened ipod photo and the flat and small connection wire was broken that for audio data connection between , back cover and ipod motheboard, now ipod is showing locking sign and not any of function work now so how can i do? where can i get back that wire or back plate with wire included please?

I've seen ten thousand tutorials on how to open my ipod and they all start with "slip an ipod tool into the seam on your iPod" I could never get it right until I saw this simple explanation. You sir, are a SAINT.

Soooo awesome!!!!! I had the sad face icon on my ipod forever. tried putting it in disk mode, resetting, tried just about everything to get it to start up. I went ahead and took it apart and unplugged some of the cables inside then plugged them back in. low and behold my ipod photo started working again! thanks a million for the vid!
