E poderia ser Noel ou Jimi Hendrix ou mesmo, e principalmente, o som ordinário da cachorrada latindo lá embaixo, o rumor vago da eletricidade dos postes de luz, o motorzinho siliciano deste laptop, o tac-tac-tac de meus dedos no teclado. Pois O Grivo é tudo isso e muito mais, o infinito sonoro que nosso ouvido alcança. O que existe para além da música, muito além da ditadura da partitura, o pentagrama estilhaçado em infinitas linhas.

Between Miles Davis, Bach, John Cage and O Grivo itself, I chose the first to inspire my mind towards this blank page. A piece about "O Grivo" written in the rhythm of jazz! And it could have been Noel (Rosa) or Jimmy Hendrix, or even more so the ordinary sound of the dogs barking outside, the humming of the street lamps, the silician motor of this laptop, the tap-tap-tapping of my fingers on the keyboard. For O Grivo is all that and much more, the acoustic infinity that our ear captures. What exists beyond music, far beyond the dictatorship of the sheet music, the pentagram shattered into infinite lines.
