Ken Magid's leading questions in this film appear to be attempts to demonize Beth Thomas.

Beth, a registered nurse, acts unethically today in continuing to promote an unvalidated treatment program called Attachment Therapy that has been condemned by the mental health profession as child abuse.

That doesn't change the fact that these victims (i.e. people like Beth) need help to cope, understand and process their experiences, and overcome. If we can identify and address these issues early on, then there may not be a need for imprisonment down the road.

I understand that he is simply asking leading questions to further understand her circumstances, however, she did receive help and after watching this...i do not understand how you can say, "there was nothing wrong with her". She clearly suffered from emotional and attachment disturbances as a result of her "upbringing" or lack there of. Beth Thomas was successfully able to re-enter society as a functioning human being. @lynsd747 She didn't receive "help" and there was nothing wrong with her. The shrink is asking leading questions and has a questionable history. The therapeutic techniques that were used to "treat" this child are abusive and have caused the deaths of other children. There is more to this story.

I like how people are saying, "death to the rapists and child abusers" (which I am NOT advocating abuse in the slightest)...but isn't it evident that these people are in fact, victims themselves? If Beth hadn't received help at such an early age...she would have more than likely repeated the same acts her father subjected her to. these people need help not prison... to stop the cycle.

@colefae these comments are very short, and its hard ot go into detail, but I think you mispervieved, but I am quite clear I gave enough info to express that she was not having nightmares when she was 1yr, but form an older age. Implying the abuse is recent, but manipulated. I do believe her actions IS form abuse, and the nightmares, and other activity. I never implied they were NOT TRUE. I am saying, her ideas are manipulated, and its NOT from the abuse when she was a baby, but older

@colefae I NEVER said that. I NEVER said her nightmares about being abused is a lie. I NEVER SAID THAT! I said the abuse, and nightmares, is not FROM when she was 1yrs. I said IT was something happening at the present time. I said her detail in her remembering, had ot come from an older age. Summing that up and rewording more specific what I was saying.
