  • @grainelmi BS they're both on point.

  • alvin poussaint's parents are Haitian immigrants adn so are mine. He is writing this book as a co author to cosby

  • In some cultures, such as the Middle East, scientist are held in a very high regard. The percentage of Arabs in computers, science, and medicine is very high.

In Latin America, there doesn't seem to be such a huge emphasis on it. Getting Arabic, Russian, and Chinese speaking doctors for NY hospitals is easy. Getting Spanish-speaking doctors is like pulling teeth.

  • grainelmi missed the whole point of this conversation. Alvin is not criticising you.

  • Alvin and cosby, know nothing about neither Africans in America or Africans from Africa. These two are attention seekers. They're wrong about both. Do your home work before coming out here and talking about ppl that you dont really know.

  • the #1 benificial of civil rights is white wmn, more than any other race. We immigrants or Black immigrants face double strikes in this country. Do u know how hard that is Alvin? But we still put all our strengths together and work hard to overcome every obstacle one by one. I came to this country 7 yrs ago faced nonstop obstacles daily but still managed to get my degree by working my heart off. I saw the faces of white racist but i never gave them the chance to break me down.

  • Obama's father came to this country with nothing but still went to Hawaii University and Harvard. Obama followed the foot steps of his father by going to harvard and columbia and after that wrote "THE DREAMS OF MY FATHER" Civil rights opened the doors for every1 not only for African immigrants and their children. Alvin, has no idea about what it feels like walking in an African immigrants shoes in America. I came to this country myself 7 yrs ago.,
