From the Fifth Third Business Beat, Cincinnati Business Courier interview with Robert Kohlhepp - Robert Kohlhepp has succeeded founder Richard T. Farmer as Cintas' Chairman of the Board. Kohlhepp started at Cintas 41 years ago. He and Farmer have similar philosophies and values and says he expects the transition to be seamless.
Kohlhepp said the economic downturn has been severe, but expects Cintas to come out of it better than its competitors. "The reason I say that is that we have the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd highest market share in every market in which we operate. Secondly, we have the highest customer satisfaction rating in every business we are in. Lastly we have the best facilities and most importantly we have the best people." Kohlhepp says Cintas CEO, Scott Farmer, has done a great job of cutting costs to keep the company profitable and financially sound.
