I was introduced to paddling on the New River in Western North Carolina when I was a little kid. As an adult I learned to paddle and honed my skills in my own back yard on the Cape Fear River. When I transitioned from paddling a canoe over to a kayak, it opened the door to my love of the water. Over the years I have shared my appreciation of the river with friends and family. I have paddled with seasoned veterans and gently guided newcomers on their very first trips. I have watched the river change with the seasons and have learned first hand that you can never paddle the same river twice, it constantly changes.
Too often I tend to post videos of trips to other places and forget to post the ones I make the most. Here are a few images from the Cape Fear River, and of the people I have shared it with.
