This is a quick Survival Podcast video to show you the effects of using a
fish tank as a mini greenhouse on the growth of lettuce. The plants you are
looking at were all planted about 4 weeks ago. Despite a few nights with
single digit temps all the plants survived but notice the difference in
growth rates.

  • I have this set up on the back of my desk too! I keep succulents inside in jars! This was helpful, it's making me think to pan my soil and transplant in some of my lettuce too, good tips

  • @survivalpodcasting I think @HigherPlanes means ph balance

  • Great idea! I am totally going to do this.

  • yeah man, you have the simplicity key! thanks for the upload.... peace.

  • Since you don't need a "new" aquarium that doesn't leak, you can check out thrift stores like Arc and Goodwill and watch garage sales to get them cheap.

  • @survivalpodcasting Oh sorry, fresh air exchange. I was curious how long you can keep the plants in that enclosure before fresh air is an issue.

  • Great video and super idea!!!

  • Sweet deal.
