What you eat before and after your workouts can have a major impact on your overall muscle building success. The workouts are only half the battle, but proper nutrition is what can make or break your success in the gym.

Before the gym you should have a pre-workout energy drink such as Extreme Rush. During your workout you should have some BCAA's. And right after your workout you should have a post workout shake with whey protein, creatine, and glutamine. I personally use http://www.BlueStarMuscle.com supplements for all these.

  • @BeatsOnALeash

I know the owner of the company personally and they make killer products. These really are the products that I use myself and I love'em.

  • do you no anything about the Kre-Alkaline Creatines? it's in the pre and post workout that i am using. (Buzzerk & Titan) is it better than regular creatine? i'm trying to gain about 30 lbs. I weigh 162 and i want to get to 190 ~ 200 lbs. i know that sounds like a ridiculous goal but ya know what they say, aim big ya gain big lol

You can get just as good of results for a fraction of the price with creatine monohydrate. That's all I use personally. Let's face it, when creatine came out 20 years ago it worked awesome and people make great gains from it. And you know what, nothing has changed, it still works just as good today as it did 20 years ago.

There's only one way to find out... Try eating 500 calories per meal and see how it works for you. If you gain mass with that number then keep with it. If not then you may need to eat more.

Sure, you can take higher amounts of glutamine to help speed up recovery.

  • hey Lee Ive experimented with glutamine and I recover very fast compared to not using glutamine. I usually do 5g pre and post and pre bedtime Ill do another 5-10g. Do you recommend these high doses or maybe just 10g per day? Like I said I recover very fast but still..

  • Dam i relle want to get the blue star supplements but they are so expensive

  • Is this aboot muscles? I heard Lee is all aboot the muscles. Lol canadians, I got more culture in my petri dish

If I'm training for fat loss I'll skip the post workout carbs and just have whey protein, creatine, BCAA's, etc. But when I'm in a mass building phase I'll mix waxy maise and dextrose in with this post workout shake. I'll usually eat a solid food meal about 1 hour after the post workout shake. It's usually something like meat and vegetables.
