This clip was recorded with a stationary VHS camera in the Ocala National Forest at the Juniper Springs camping area on Feb. 19, 1996. The time stamp was unintentionally embedded in the copy I have. Nothing but the campfire for light until a Coleman lantern was brought over.

  • I'm almost afraid to ask this question. Are you playing this in B flat?

I've tried every harmonica I have and none fit the key you're playing in.

  • I just tuned the fiddle to the banjo, which was in tune to itself (most likely not 440 pitch). If it was 440, we'd be in the key of "G". With a harmonica, you would be out of luck unless it was tuneable.

  • I will have to check and see if you have some cd's out. Great teamwork. Thanks.

  • My Great Grandfather was champion fiddler from Kansas. One of the few stories was the fights started when they'd gone south to Baton Rouge & Waco, & still closed every night with Marching through Georgia

  • very enjoyable to listen to

  • Thanks for the info. I tried playing along in G and it almost fits.

  • Great job!
