Sander van Doorn is on a mission to toughen up the dance floor. His recent releases "Ten" (w/ Mark Knight and Underworld) and "Joyenergizer" showcased the Dutch producer's wide range and enormous skill, but he's saved his biggest and most important track yet for the summer. "Neon," out July 29 on Doorn Records, is a true labor of love...a statement.
It took Sander approximately 18 months to complete the track; opting for a 50/50 split between analog and digital production methods. The result is a sound that has the geist of classic-era progressive house but with a contemporary twist. It's techy and mysterious from the start but builds into a euphoric melody that shines pure energy.
"Neon is one of the most special records I've ever released," Sander van Doorn says. "It's one of those tracks where everything just fell into place when producing the first version. It took me one and a half years combining several arrangements to make it sound the way it does today. Neon reflects a great part of today's dance scene combining analog and real instruments with a digital sound giving the genre more depth and dimension without losing the essence: making people dance."
Sander van Doorn will celebrate the July 29 release of "Neon" with world tour dates this summer including Ibiza, Nature One, Electric Zoo and many more.
