Stephen J. Winters, M.D., Professor of Medicine and Chief, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes at The University of Louisville, presented "The Endocrinology of Hereditary Hemochromatosis" on Jan. 3, 2013.

The talk focused on understanding the endocrine physiology of normal iron metabolism, being aware of the clinical and laboratory findings, and gene mutations in patients, and recognizing that isolated hypogonadotropic hypogonadism may be an early presentation of hereditary hemochromatosis.

Presented by the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes.
