Patti Lupone is great broadway singer/actress and a every gay man's idol but I did not like her in this. She was a bitch as Marc's mom. She still did a good job playing the role.

oooh marc ;( even though he's so confident, melodramatic and outwardly mean to betty, he's still a real guy with feelings. he looked so hurt, i wanted to hug him so bad :( what is this episode called so i can watch the whole thing please? i dont think i knew about ugly betty when this one was shown....

I know it's that she's in denial about it, but how can his mom not know he's gay? Has she MET him? But this scene was so well acted on both their parts. I just wanted to hug Marc so bad, he looked so hurt!

Damn right, Marc! I love him even more for defending the Saurez family, and I love the friendship that developed between Marc and Justin in the 4th season. I wish it would come back for a at least a 5th season :(

I love Marc in this scene so much. I can't imagine the courage it takes to come out to your family when you know that they won't accept you; coming out to people, even if you know they'll love you no mater what, is hard enough.
