Yes, a shame isn't it, considering the fact that Maestro Emerson IS the Greatest Rock Keboardist that ever was, is and will be --hands down (no slight on the abilitites of Wakeman). Personally, feel it is because the Hall of Fame has yet to have a "Certified Genius" category, when it does, EMERSON should be the first recipient.

To be honest I think that NOT being in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame will be an honor in the future...I mean c'mon....Is a Hall Of Fame what Rock is about? Is that what these guys strived for...to be "accepted?" I'm glad ELP still defies the establishment 40 years later

The thing that no one ever considers about this band is one of the things that makes them so unique is that this is just a trio. You would never know that just from listening to their albums. If you happened to see them live then its obvious they are a trio, but it never registers in your brain as such. There is a lot of depth to take in when you are confronted with this music, and 40 years after the fact it still seems very new.
