Dustin and the wasabi

Most people who have eaten sushi (or even those who know of it) are also likely to be familiar with our friendly little green paste...the wasabi.

Similarly, it is highly probable these same people also knows of someone who, for whatever reason, decide to consume copious amounts of wasabi...sometimes with hilarious results.
This video here is one such event.

This took place on May 24th of 2007, one day before Fanime.
I took a group of friends to Rokkos, a sushi restaurant near the convention, for lunch

Well meaning, we placed our respective orders as one would do and ate.
When our orders came, Dustin was unfamiliar with our friend the wasabi. As some friends would do, we explained to him what it really was...but he underestimated its potency.

This is revealed when he takes on the dare from America (left and offscreen of vantage) to eat a large clump of wasabi (collected from everyone else).

Realizing the comedic potential, I whipped out my digital camera and set it to movie mode.
(Granted I was skeptical of him doing it..you can hear me saying "No..he's not gonna do it")

Actually, I was quite familiar with wasabi. For the record: I eat wasabi on anything when we have it (which is rare).
