mikerman, it was the crashes wot killed it IMO.
The technology is now rather out of date too.
With BSContact branding their product with an annoying logo, nobody was interested in that either.
Those companies killed themselves with under investment and greed.
Even the military moved onto other technology for their sims.
It was like a collection of the best possibilities turned to waste by people snatching for $.
The models which work on the web today are all the things they mocked & rejected.

I remember blaxxun and all the whimsy and fun there was. Aw, such nostalgia! I remember making worlds and avatars and having fun. I miss it.
