The OneHeart Umbrella Campaign is a fundraising effort launched by the Broadway Palm Theater in Mesa, Arizona dedicated to helping "Emma and Taylor Bailey" and the "Two Sisters One Heart Foundation".
Emma and Taylor Bailey are two beautiful little girls who were born as "conjoined twins".
They share one heart. They are in urgent need of medical attention.
Their heart is failing.
Ours won't.
When I heard that the Broadway Palm Theatre has dedicated their current production of "Singin' in the Rain" to this effort I was delighted to offer my services as Honorary Chairperson for the "OneHeart Umbrella Campaign". It has been gratifying, humbling, and truly moving to see how many celebrities and others have stepped forward to help these girls and the Two Sisters One Heart Foundation a nonprofit organization created to help the Baileys and other families facing similar medical, financial and emotional challenges.
The OneHeart Umbrella Campaign has asked both celebrities and non-celebrities alike to help.
PERSONALIZED & AUTOGRAPHED UMBRELLAS have been generously donated by stars of film, television, sports, and theater. They will be auctioned on eBay and the proceeds will benefit the "Two Sisters One Heart Foundation".
The first star we approached was Kathie Lee Gifford who immediately opened her heart and said yes. She also graciously enlisted other celebrities, who were equally enthusiastic. Soon umbrellas began raining down. The list continues to grow. Just some of the stars participating include Kathie Lee Gifford, Hugh Jackman, William H. Macy, Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Oliver Platt, Alice Cooper, Jane Fonda, Amy Grant, Matt Lauer, Meredith Viera, Al Roker, Jim Belushi, Jim Stafford, Hoda Kotb, Lucie Arnaz, Marlo Thomas, Sara Haines, Estelle Parsons, J.K. Simmons, John Cullum, Elisabeth Moss, The Duttons, Mary-Louise Parker, Frank Gifford, James Brown (CBS), The Lennon Sisters, The St. Louis Rams, The Phoenix Suns, The Dallas Cowboy Danny White, Arizona Cardinal Kurt Warner, as well as Broadway casts of: August: Osage County, Avenue Q, Billy Eliott, Chicago, Guys and Dolls, Hedda Gabler, In the Heights, Jersey Boys, Mama Mia, Mary Poppins, Shrek, South Pacific, Speed the Plow, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, and the umbrellas keep pouring in.
eBAY AUCTION WILL START ON MARCH 26TH AND RUN THROUGH APRIL 4TH, 2009.
The "OneHeart Umbrella Campaign" will conclude on April 4th with a special Gala Evening at the Broadway Palm West Theatre. I will be joined on stage by the cast of "Singin' in the Rain", our Master of Ceremonies, Cory McClosky of KSAZ Fox 10 News, The amazing "Dutton Family" of Branson, Missouri and a special performance by the "OneHeart All-Faith Choir", group of select singers from congregations throughout Mesa.
The evening will also include dinner and a silent auction.
All proceeds from this gala and the eBay auction will benefit Emma and Taylor Bailey and the Two Sisters - One Heart Foundation.

Wow, those babies have grown up alot already. I used to watch them on Discovery Health when they were just tiny babies. One twin still have that bent neck. She was going thru therapy when I saw them .
