How to Champions Online - Action / FPS Targeting Tutorial HD

This is a tutorial on how to set up your game to where you don't have to target anything to use abilities. It is a MUST have for melee and ranged alike. I didn't have any ranged abilities on here but you can imagine how useful this would be being able to instantly switch "targets" by just pointing.

You don't have to point directly at them for it to be effective. Whoevers closest to the middle of where you point it will attack, making it very smooth gameplay.

Instead of having to manually target, the awesome people at Cryptic saw it in their bright minds to add in the ability to customize just about near everything. I would kiss the person(s) that made this possible. This -makes- the game for me.

Everything on how to do this is shown in the video.

Split second on the fly target switching. Never having to use your mouse for anything other than movement. Making everything fluid and seamless and much more enjoyable!

I honestly wont be able to play any other MMO that can't do this. It would be like going back to windows 3.1

But most importantly, this just makes the game more FUN!

It does 2 things, raises the camera higher so you can see where you are pointing better in 3rd and 1st person. And makes right click toggleable, push it once and it'll hold the camera, push it again to use the cursor. This helps out tremendously on your middle finger getting tired :P

I very much recommend the second one even tho I used the first in the vid, it takes a few mins getting used to if you're a MMO vet, but its -well- worth it and is much better.

Just got done playing the F2P stuff, They've done some good work on it. My favorite part is in making the archetype classes they realized a lot of the powers could be so much more fun. So they let passives be based on your superstat instead of being locked into a stat you may or may not have.

The F2P isn't as restricting as they first said it would be. But they rely too heavily on the C-store and so much less on making actual new content.

Also I'm head over heels in love with DCUOs gameplay!

@jelle049 They are limiting everything that makes this game fun with F2P. You are forced to play a pre-made archetype with less powers, unless you pay 15$ a month. You only get 1 inventory bag slot, and a lot of other limited content, etc.

It is a unlimited free trial, marketed as Free2Play. It's very shady and kind of insulting.

Hey man, quick question :) (I'm new to champions online)

I have the second screenshot of the description as my options, and it's amazing thanks, but when i right click again to switch back to pointing for when i'm about to select a mission or something, for some reason it automatically attacks the scenery like a pole or a monster nearby me or something and won't stop until i select my attack at the bottom to off again, am i doing something wrong? How do i fix this? thanks in advance :)

@vipinwwefan Set Key Bind Set to First Person Shooter. You right click once and it goes into camera-follows-mouse mode. Right click again and you can use the mouse.

ok sometimes it will auto attack objects after i set it up the way u show in the video (even with the new options) how do i get it to stop that?

@kaitaishi It works with the keyboard, though its been over a year since I made this video so the option windows are a bit different, but I recently tried it and it still works.
