I had a similar experience with my being Born again. As soon as I chose Jesus,Mormons showed up at my door. Glory be to God Jesus gave me the strength and wisdom to witness to those young men and tell them about Him and how He changed me.

Mormons use Jesus in a "Bait and Swith" scam.

They bait people with the name of Jesus, but they switch Smith for Jesus and then eventually eliminate Jesus.

Satan is the father of lies, liars and the "bait/switch" scam. Mormons follow Satan, even though they are in denial about it.

Read it again. You are missing something very important. Hebrews says that once they received knowledge of the Truth. It is not speaking of those that have accepted it. Of those Hebrews states: But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. Paul in Cor. teaches us that fire will test the quality of each man's work. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

Hebrews 1

God no longer speaks to us through the Prophets, He now speaks to us through His Son. Hebrews 7 gives the qualifications for the Melchisedek Priesthood: The Priesthood holder must be Exalted above the Heavens, like the Son of God, Without beginning of Days or End of Life, Without an Earthly Genealogy, Without a Earthly Father or Mother, set apart from all sinners, holy, blameless and pure, Must be a Priest Forever.

So do you pick and choose what to believe from Hebrews?

Stop paying Tithing to your Church then. If you do not believe in works for Salvation, then that is a work you can forgo. Give it anonymously to the poor instead and you will be rewarded by your Father in Heaven.
