This shows Horwich Bin Men getting their own back on a car owner who has obstructed a back alley with their car. The bin men usually drive their van through this back alley to the next street and they are a bit annoyed that they now have to drive round via Chorley New Road which is very busy.

Are you not able to report the vehicle to the Police - it is an offence of obstruction.

I do this job for a livin, and when ur route is obstructed by wankers like that, it makes ur blood boil...., I actually praise these lads for even emptyin the bins cause sometimes I just tell the lads to leave em and I drive off puttin it down to no access. Ppl know wot day bins are emptied so LEAVE IT CLEAR!! Wot would the fire briggade ave to do eh, think about that one cause they would just move the car any way possible

I totally agree, the bin men were just making a point at the same time as having a bit of harmless fun. As I've stated before, it is an offence of obstruction to leave any vehicle parked as shown in the video, because the back alley is classed as a road in law. I am amazed at the furore that this video has caused. I expected it to get about 100 hits. Last Friday but one I was amazed to see a reporter from the Daily Mail waiting for me - you just could not make this up! Incredible!!

I love the way certain people on here enjoy having a pop at the binmen. I wonder how many of them could walk twelve miles per day in all weathers, and take abuse from the general public each and every day?

If Binmen are so lazy and useless, why do people have a canary if there is a threat of a dust strike, and their bin won't get emptied for a month? Not nice when you have to sniff your own shit for an extended period is it? So why bad mouth the binmen who take it away each week?

No the police are not interested,,

When we call through to report blocked access by cars they say it is a cival matter not criminal. and our council will not back us saying it is our problem not theirs.

Well the trouble is a lot of of people our so fucking lasy they cant even get there bins out that car was in the way last week i had people stareing and laughting at me us of the window like my other loader said they wont be doing it when they get there benifits cut bad thing is as being a refuse collector where i am if you dont do the bin you get called back .
