Lewton heads to the Café Ankh to find Captain Jenkins to ask if he can take a look around the Milka, but instead he ends up having a chat with his old mate Corporal Nobby Nobbs instead.

When You Met Her Lyrics:
You can't recall;
If the whiskey knocked you flat;
Or if everything was a blur;
When you met her;
All that you remember;
Are the tunes of a vam-pire;
A melancholic tuuuuuune;
About impending doom;
I'll fetch your tankard;
Fill it to the brim;
A cask of stale;
Broken Drum ale;
Wondering how long till you meet it again on the bank of the Ankh;
Too much to drink;
You could barely even think;
Too much Bearhugger;
When you meeeeeeet heeeeeeeeer. (Last line is obviously cut short by Lewton)

  • The song at the begining is awesome!

  • @CaptEoNinja83 Agreed!

  • The guy who plays nobby sounds like the guy from the first Broken Sword. When george went to irland I think he was the one men in the pub.

  • @mcky7878 I think I had the same idea when I played Broken Sword, and had to check that Rob Brydon wasn't on the voice cast!

  • "Tempting as it was, I decided not to start attacking people with the crowbar." Lmao!!!

  • 0:35 a vampire with a falsetto voice. Bit of a coincidence, the last discworld game had a vampire with a falsetta teeth. LOL

  • if rob brydon voices nobby, you'll find his accent is actually semi-welsh, but i think you're right, he does ;D

  • The Drum joke is explained in Strata.

    The Broken Drum: It can't be beat!

    Vs. The Mended Drum: It can be beat or 'you can get beaten.'

  • The timing for Lewton's sacking might actually work. After Night Watch (well, after the main portion of Night Watch, not the present day parts), Vimes was a highly idealistic copper. Never taking bribes was one of the core lessons Keel/Vimes taught him. If Vimes became captain and only then lost his spirit, Lewton being kicked out for taking a bribe would probably fit with the downward spiral of the watch at that time.

  • @Naylte Well at least you're honest!

  • @TheRussianGestapo Well, actually, it's from the film 'Horse Feathers'. I just adapted it to the scenario.

  • @Naylte That's genuinely funny and inspired! And it also made me realise that I now automatically hear "bah-bum-bum-tish" on the drums whenever someone puns. I should probably get that looked at.
