  • Sopt on Scouthome terrace the houses hsd no inside toilets, no mains water, no central heating, no hot water, kettels were warmed on the coal fire, we had a bath infront of the fire in our tin bath that when in not in use it lived in with the coal, but it was a good childhood.

    is that ross mill in 1.26 and 5.20

  • Thank you I am sorry it is not Ross mill they are both Ilex mill the first over looks Rawtenstall cricket field and the second from bury rd looking across what is now Tescos I saw the sheep as I was coming out of the house one Sunday morning luckly I had my camera to hand. I am collecting a new set of photos and hope to post soon

  • A shot of waterfoot and the old railway station at 3:45 if i'm not mistaken taken from on top of the tunnels

  • you are correct from the top of the thruch tunnel, they are still there but you can no longer walk through them

  • thanks for sharing brought back memories. is the church at 6:04 still in use my family grave is next to the door i think.

  • the photo was taken about 40 years ago I think, Rehoboth (is that how you spell it) still looks the same.
