Training the bicep in a frontal plane is a great idea. Most who don't know better only work the bicep in a vertical or nearly vertical axis from the ground up. Varied planes and and ranges of movement create functional movement and balanced strength.

This exercise is silly! There can be only one reason for it, and that's to flaunt one's arms while using working out as a cover. That said ... she DOES look really good, I gotta admit. :)
