@tuscanyiscol I think you are being a bit too harsh. It is a sitcom, and created as a show for entertainment. As an actor, I want to point out that to play a character convincinlgy is down to both playwright and director as much as down to the actor himself, in some cases, more. I agree that the characters are stereotypical, but that is what the majority of people watching sitcoms like to see. And who would want to see a show about people interact realisticly? That is boring.

the plots are contrived, the characters embarrassingly stereotypical and nothing they say is in keeping with how real people interact.
