Auto's can be faster than sticks. If their geared right that is. With a stick you have to let off the gas to shift, with a auto you just punch it and don't let off till your past the line. It's why most drag cars are auto. By Automatic I mean not having a clutch pedal. Cuz they can still shift into gears like an auto-manual.
