Marvelous, smooth harmony.

@ukbentley Thank you for not pretending, like so many others, that good music and musicians don't exist anymore.

Funny, nobody on this post mentions Nelson Riddle. Anyway, he was the arranger/conductor on these FS TV Specials.

This is nice, but not as nice as Jimmy Dorsey band version from 1937 with Bob Eberly handling the vocal (don't settle for Sammy Kaye version, though, in fact, it's unlistenable, so avoid that like the plague).

Chances are you would LOVE to hear Ms. Spears try. LOL.

The Best of the bests; the fabulous Gene Puerling the greatest vocal arranger ever born, unfortunately left us last year but his legacy will remain forever!!

Agree absolutely. But don't forget: this is Gershwin. Could anybody harmonize today's crap this way?
Perfect in every way. If only music like this was more easily available and better promoted that it is now. Then perhaps, more of our younger generation would actually have a choice rather than being brainwashed by almost every radio station and childrens programme. I guess it's all down to money, money, money. Such a shame.
