I loved this movie. The ending wasn't quite happy, but it was so meaningful, and so much like real life. Both the songs and the story seem to say so much without really saying anything at all. So beautiful, so fiercely lovely.
If you loved this movie, I recommend 5 centimeters per second by Makoto Shinkai, which has the most gorgeous artwork I've ever seen. Both it and Once have the quality of being so simple and true that they speak to us, and teach us about life. You won't regret watching it.

I have a tattoo on my hip that says "once." and although that's all it says, it's the most meaningful tattoo I could think of. It can be perceived so many ways. For me, it's because of this beautiful song and movie that make this tattoo perfect for me. Here's to the greatest movie <3
