Taken on 6/26/09. On Comet IIM 5373 behind ALP-44M 4420. This comet seems to have a flat wheel, but this ALP-44M seems pretty peppy with 8 cars.

  • you were in a comet 3 i think

  • no, it was a comet IIM. trust me.

  • how can u tell

  • Comet IIM's don't have the middle door, while the Comet III and Comet IV have the middle door. at the end of the video, car number 5552 is a comet IV. in terms of exterior appearence, comet III's and IV's are almost indistinguishable. go the the wikipedia page on NJT rail operations and scroll down to the rolling stock sections. it should help you out.

  • Convent Baby l live near there

  • I'm on that line too in South Orange,ha,ha!

  • What does the m stand for?

  • what is a flat wheel?

  • The III's have a narrow stripe and no LED displays, the IV's have a broad stripe an do have LED displays on the outside and inside. Also the III's have brown seats on the interior (Same as Arrow III's after the overhaul in the early 90's), and the IV's have light blue sets. (The IIM's mimic that look).
