This is the trailer, which teases us with the original Phi Delta Theta Eldorados which originated in 1972 during their senior year at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville. They capitalized on the nostagia wave of 1950's early RnR doo wop music revived by the band Sha Na Na (who catapulted to fame after appearing on the platinum-selling 1969 soundtrack LP and movie "Woodstock", earning them their own national TV Show from 1977-1981). The core members of the MBA band matriculated to Vanderbilt, pledged Phi Delta Theta, and the rest was almost-forgotten modern history. The full-length documentary shows many more Phi Eldorados band groups that spanned the centuries. As the seniors graduated, and with each new pledge class, the players and playlists evolved. Some Eldorado bands played garage-band hits from the 60s, or classic rock from the 70s, or country-folk-rock. And most of the bands didn't suck! The full-length documentary's re-release date, The re-mastered Director's Cut, will be announced soon. Today, VHS copies of the original documentary are scarce, and command millions of dollars on eBay. Even their unique live 1977 version of GLORIA (recorded and mastered direct to a primitive Maxell stereo cassette tape) has been covered by countless bands over the years, including the White Animals. While there are, and have been, countless bands around the country called Eldorados...the Nashville Vanderbilt/Montgomery Bell Academy Eldorados are exculsively a Phi Delta Theta tradition that now spans generations. As what became a regular part of GLORIA,"You can't get great-a, than Phi Delta Theta."
