Written in 1929, by Cuban Ernesto Lecuona, Siboney is the location of the farm where Fidel Castro and his men gathered before the attack on the Moncada barracks - the start of the Cuban Revolution!! If you enjoy please COMMENT and RATE - thanks!!

  • castro giant of history

  • this song makes me a proud cuban

  • The best version of the song Siboney - performed Connie Francis.

    Greetings the Mr.Makithecat

    from Belgrade.

  • Siboney is such a beuatiful song which was written as a non-political song and for reasons I don't know why, it has been hijacked and basterized. Art is art.

  • 1929 predated the Castro revolution by 30 years. Totally irrelevant, and a stupid connection. What, now every kid who plays Malaguena (also Lecuona) on the accordian is now a revolutionary? Makithecat, you are a dumbass.

  • Ms.Francis would have not been impressed by this most unfortunate upload.

Connie's voice and exquisite talent is in complete contrast to the images and ideology of Ernesto Guevara and even worse those of Fidel Castro.

The only redeeming aspect of this tasteless "video" were the images of smiling school girls. Connie's song had little to do with politics and more with the beauty of a town called Siboney.

  • One can take the grapes from the Vine,,

..but the Roots remain in it's Ground..

    Bravo.!!. Senor Makithecat.*.
