@masudshah89 Maybe this was due to the fact that I used very dark chocolate (85%), but I had it boiling on full blast, and there was no sign of burning. The chocolate on the sides didn't even dry up during the process.
Your advice is probably good if one wants to go really safe, but I wouldn't call it a necessity.

i melted chocolate earlier, was creamy but after a few minutes while i was using the chocolate, it became so thick. what do i do to make it creamier?

melting the chocolate over boiling water would burn the chocolate. you should melt it over water that WAS boiling and is off of heat. If you have a lot of chocolate, keep the water just below its boiling point (bottom of pan is full of bubbles but they rarely come up).

......... I tried to melt chocolate by putting it into the microwave. Apparently dry chocolate CAN burn...
