  • @ladyfuzz1966

yes-I was thinking the same thing once I started thinking about it. I dont think I ever heard if that album "CBGBs The Birth of US Punk.

There was a double album in the late 70s called "Live at CBGBS" that my friend had that was great. Was this the same album? Bands like Tuff Darts,Mink DeVille, etc were on it. 1977 I think. Anyway American punk always blew away English punk I think.Hell,Thunders,Television,Ramones,Dead Boys,Patti Smith,NYDolls, early Talking Heads,Iggy, etc.

  • @frankty67 i'm pretty sure the one your referring to on the album CBGB's and the birth of US punk

  • @ladyfuzz1966 Yes another version.I had the 45 of this in the early 80s (lost it),and I cant remember what label it was on, or if it was an import. But it was Richard Hell and the Voidoids with Richard Hells photo on the front sleeve in black and white. It was a way earlier way more primitive version of this song, amost a demo take compared to this album version which is way more rockin and recorded better.Id still like to find it or hear it again though just for the hell of it.

  • glad you didn't scratch that thing. lol.

  • john cooper clark came out with a triangular vinyl

    and it works!!

  • He actually knows how to play that wooden bitch.

  • i had a staticky cassette tape of that album from a friend who lived in nyc back then in the late 70's and its gone ... gone damn it !

  • have u heard any other versions of this. i used to have a cd called "CBGB's and the birth of US punk" which had a slower but also really good version of this

  • yr so right
