Does the kids in your youth group get on fire for a little while after a rally etc. and then come back and fizzle out?

The problem here is the concept that its up to me ..That i have to do enough . It is an unreasonable expectation and one that has driven people to suicide because you simply can't do it .

You may not agree with this ministers message and you may also not be sold out to Christ 150%. Many people say I'm a christian, but Christ is not thier priority in life. Jesus came to be the sword, there is no inbetween. Your either sold 150% or you don't even have a relationship. Don't mistake knowledge for relationship.

" But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name, who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God. " (John 1:12-13)

The will of man is man's choice and the Bible says salvation does not depend on man's choice.

@juice7924 Do you think Jesus never had righteous anger and never shouted? Do you really need to comfort people who should probably be exhorted (warned)? Let's get past the pablum (baby food). Love sometimes has to rebuke and exhort, not just offer comforting words.

I think we've gotta take this sermon with a pinch of salt, what Sam Ketcher is saying is good and I can understand where people are coming from, I feel like the way he presents this sermon is quite shouty but if you can look past that, the message is great!
