John Chermak is one of my great great Uncles who fought in ww2 he won the Bronze Star for his actions in the Battle of the Bulge. He was in the 101st airborn and jumped into nomandy. Like many other men in the D-Day jump he was seporated from his group when he Jumped. When he jumped he landed on a church in a ramoat town (I do not know the towns name) when he landed to aviod getting stuck on the church he instantly snaped his parachute off and fell an entire two stories before landing on the ground suprisingly with only a few cuts and brouses, and took out two men with his BAR ( Browning
Automatic Rifle) then ran into the bushes only to find artillery, he took it out with a swift sweep of his BAR (for this he won the medal of honor). In the Battle of the Bulge his unit was getting slaughtered so he and a rifleman ran to a downed truck and laid waist to the German Battalian (he won the bronze star and his buddy won the Medal of Honor). then when he visited Paris when the war was over he was reunited with his Brother (my great great uncle Winslow A. Chermak) who had won 2 bronze stars a purple heart and another medal which I cant identify for his actions on Omaha Beach.
your lucky one of my dads brother is in the trinidad army
