Beth Vorhees talks to Byron Harris, the consumer advovcate for the West Virginia Public Service Commission, about Allegheny Energy's revised plan for a controversial 240-mile transmission line its wants to build through Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia. Harris endorsed a compromise with Allegheny that must still be approved by the state Public Service Commission.
When are they going to start telling the truth about the environmental impact of this project? No one is standing up for the citizens of WV. If Maryland needs more more power then let them build the power plant in their own state instead of building it in WV and running the lines through WV. Why should West Virginians pay more for their power only to benefit MD? This whole thing is bullshit!
