My all time favourite Classic Who theme - the first second of it sends a cold shiver down my spine, and who can forget Mel's scream merging into the theme tune in Terror of the Vervoids - love it!

It's not the greatest Doctor Who theme, but there is something about it that's very good. It's different but that doesn't mean it's bad. The 2010 theme was a little different but still good. I think all the Doctor Who themes are good in their way, just like the Doctor's are all different but still good. This one gives a mysterious feel particuraly on 0:24-0:40, I feel like I'm in space or someplace mysterious while I hear this theme.

@dutchycooper Most likely Grade, as he hated the programme and was the one who fired Colin. Good thing he has eaten his words when the revival became hyper-successful.
