Hammer Dulcimer played by Tim Manning, Frome Somerset. Audio manipulated in real time and video generated in real time by a Max MSP patch written by Adrian Smith in 2007. Piece performed at 'reSonate' Frome 0ct 2007. www.resonantfrequency.co.uk
Nice combination of max/msp with some musical inspiration. Too often the tech is good but the end result is disappointing, not so in this case. I particularly liked the spectral manipulation - is this done using narrow band pass filters or some kind of fft processing?
Definitely one of the best Max/MSP vids on here but right around the 4 minute mark I was waiting for this to build into a crazy hard symphony. Get a producer who's listened to a lot of Godspeed you Black Emperor and you'd be looking at GOLD I tell you....GOLD!
I'm really trying to get into this, meh, a lot of work but i think i'll manage :)

just get a breakbeat, slow it right down (audio) and here's some instant trip-hop.
