This is good. For those of us who are already frustratingly familiar with thyroid disease it may seem over-simplified. But the point is to grab the attention of the 15 million who don't know anything about thyroid disease. The talking giraffe is more likely to catch the attention of viewers than your average commercial. I agree that the sound effect in the scene with the lion and the primate make it a little difficult to hear those two symptoms. Removing the yawn and Huh? sounds would fix it.
What a charming way to convey a message about thyroid awareness!
The best is the part that includes the statistic that 30 million in the U.S. currently suffer from thyroid disorders, and how 15 million, or half, don't even know it. (Which, obviously, means the remainder who do know it would be 15 million). But the even better part than all that is how in no way does anything add up to 60 million! {~Wink.}
I like the ad. It is no doubt intended for people who don't know anything about thyroid disease. It is catchy - I love the giraffe as a 'neck expert.' The speed and articulation of the voice was sometimes difficult to follow. It's great the association is making an effort to raise thyroid disease awareness.
Had to repetedly replay sections in an attempt to understand certain key words. I think related to symptoms. In other words it was difficult to understand.
For someone battling thyroid problems (getting/ keeping levels correct) this USA catchy way to get people thinking. I think it's cute. Go Edmund!!
