He runs the Elecltric Police Station! They are the ones who use Electric magic on intruders who try to break into the Starlight Zone! Anyone who rebels against the queen (me) gets zapped by lightning bolts, and cast out of the Star Circle!

Yes, I do have to admit some names and singing voices are often gender confusing. Of course the character of electra has nothing to do with the marvel comics character Elektra.

Why was the music in this 1997 version more similar to the original cast recording of the 80s than the second cast recording of the 90s? I am so confused!

The 1993 recording didn't sound that much like the show, it was a cheaply made studio recording. It's only the voice of Control that was exactly the same.

I think that parts of the 93 recording sound a lot better than the original recording of the 80s. But like I said, I was about 8 or 9 at the time, so I can't really remember what it was like "live", so I've only got the recordings to go by.

Neither recording is great quality as far as the technicalities go, but the original cast has better material and performers. But the original recording is missing about 1/4 of the show, it's far from a complete recording.
