  • I have a question, if you find an antlion and keep it, should get sand or just soft dirt?

  • I used a sieve to get fine-grained sand out of (dry) soil from my yard, and I've also used white sand I got from a store. I guess the main thing is that the dirt shouldn't be sticky or wet. (The antlions get their water from the insects they feed on.) Have fun with your antlion, if you find one ;-)
