A camera wont stop a crime, it will only record it. This is pure bull. As said above, corporate leaders dont want a world free of violence and terror. They infact make money on it.

What these corporate leaders want is to control the cattle. This wont stop untill we unite and put a stop to it ourselves. Take my word for it, that day will come.

Orwell's oppressive global state of Oceania is coming soon, very soon. Just remember these cameras aren't supposed to be allowed to used to monitor the inside of homes, but they can easily be used to do just that.

@clarinetchum If a government is willing to introduce telescreens or something like that, it won't be made suddenly but instead by slowly introducing more and more monitoring as rapidly as people learn to consider it normal to be always under more and more intimate surveillance :P and people opposing it will increasingly (but increasing only small steps at a time) easily be arrested. And the later it goes, the darker their fates will be.

@chrisrhudy02 that's so true! what a shame they can't get heard by any other means than terrorism (which makes the victims only repel them). although, by having no channels for disgruntled arabs and thus making some of them resort to suicide bombings, the gov't can easily make people fear and thus legitimize a perpetual war against terrorism.

btw, anyone other think that in 1984, the bombs falling at airstrip one were sent by the oceanian govt and not by eurasia/eastasia?

The US is so paranoid about terrorism I would be more afraid of the government. The chances of being hit by a terrorist are a billion to one. Whereas the government is about 5 to 1. The math is off but u get my drift.
