  • Apparently the earlier oscillators were more prone to drifting in pitch. perhaps thats why these were worked on. Does anyone have any experience on this?

  • WOOOOW! It' fantastic! What song is played by 2:50?

  • I own Minimoog serial number 1171, and it actually has VCO board 1169 in it (has PSU board 1164, VCF board 1174, ENV board 1176)...so it's a cool surprise to see that board 1171 ended up installed in this machine later, presumably as a repair part. The sound of these earliest VCOs really are something special...my Mini growls like none other I've heard. With the possible exception of this one :).

  • Aah, brings back such sweet memories! Of Mario, not Moog.. Oh, ok Mario and Moog..

  • @TheAnalogLab HA! lol... :) Actually those are decent enough transformers and I've used them in a few projects.

  • You are my 8-bit hero!

  • what kind of restoration did it made ? i see that the electrolytic caps are the original ones and the sink heats of the MPSU05/55 are the shortest ones. Does it dissipate the heat well ?

The Oscilator board shows a 1171 serial number, i guess that was the repair made it by Plateau Electronics in that time.
