Kozuma reminds me of Mr. O'Connor from the 1993 OVA 8-Man After.

The enemies in this game look pretty alien-line in their design. Especially when you count that Predator reference.

The 1990s actions games by SNK were simple, yet fun. Eight-Man is such an example.
Not the best of the side-scrolling titles to come out of SNK's camp, but a decent action game, nevertheless. And, very colorful, too!

Oh yeah! I was so hoping someone would post this...and the best part is that it's a two-player battle!
My cousin loves this game...she's be Nine-man (calls herself Nine-girl) and I'd be Eightman. The part where they run like the speed of light is amazing!
