VAWT Wind Turbine Dome With Directors

This is an FTC Energy VAWT on a dome with wind directors capturing energy. The design and spacing of the dome and directors are critical issues. The jet of smoke going to the left shows the design is speeding up the air flow through the turbine, which proves the wind directors are capturing and focusing wind energy. The wind directors have to be designed and positioned based on the normal speed and prevailing direction of the local wind at a site. FTC Energy engineers do just that.
Dead quiet and vibration free. The dome is a dual use building. It captures energy and can be used as a safe structure.
