This video shows the gorgeous figure skater Emily Hughes performing to the Celine Dion song "Taking Chances" in a skating event on network television, October 25, 2008.
Emily, my all-time favourite skater, is highly enjoyable to watch on the ice, and with her slightly curvier-than-average build (for a figure skater), she is a welcome relief from the underweight, skeletal girls who are prevalent in skating today.

I wish I never quit skating.. Watching her skate just makes me miss the ice. I wish I never gave up on something that I worked so hard to become good at.. :(

But I SWEAR, that this won't happen to any of my choldren. Whatever dreams they have, I'll do everything that I can to make them come true. No more frustrated dreams, whatever they want to be, mommy will help them make those dreams come true!!!!!!!!

I had a dream, I wanted so badly to be a skater, and I had the skills, but not the ways to afford expensive skating lessons while I lived in the US. To make things worse I moved back to my hometown where there wasn't a single ice skating rink... So I put my dream to sleep... Now they have opened a rink in my home town, I went there, skated and I felt a rush of love for the ice again. But now I am a 30 years old mommy of two, and I have other priorities. I am a frustrated ice skater...

Oh, no comparison -- Emily all the way. Sasha is skin-and-bones anorexic-looking, and frankly, dull to watch. Emily on the other hand is shapely and gorgeous, and skates with so much enthusiasm. Emily is much better!

Emily is one of my favorites for sure. I think her fuller figure gives her an easier time with jumps. That doesnt mean she completes them better, but rather she probably expends less engery than someone with pencil legs.
Love her.
She is perfect and gorgeous on the ice. Very healthy.
