To understand the policy problems raised by Taleb you need to have a benchmark: a policy (like a drug) is only effective if it outperforms no policy at all. Sometimes the solution ends being worse than the original problem.

@Ratoscruvy When mixed martial artists or boxers learn how to fight what to they do? They practice fighting each other. This is beating each other up. They are becoming stronger.

Why doesn't it make that person stronger? Both persons get stronger after a battle.

How does someone beat another person make that person stronger? It doesn't. I would challenge a lot of this thinking.

Libertarianism doesn't say there are NO LAWS. They just need to be kept at the local level, which he does imply and cites when he says politicians need to live with their laws. I also like his statement about organisms needing stress to be strong!
