Test flying my HK500 purchased from leadershobby with a Flymentor 3D from Hobbyking. Doesn't feel 100% stable, tail keeps wagging with throttle input, but I can adjust for this in flymentor software - I think....

  • I think the flymentor is great for a beginner because you can get the feeling of flying without worrying about crashing and as your skills improve you can turn off position mode and fly with stabilisation mode only or turn both off. It is however a b*tch to setup properly.

  • The positioning sensor (ccd) works to an altitude of about 3 metres, then it uses the stabilisation mode only.

  • But does it feel more stable with the flymentor installed ?

  • It feels much more stable with the FM, but it takes some setting up. It can be configured for either position mode, stabilisation mode or disabled (all controlled via tx). One of the best things I've bought. I discovered after this video that my tail blade holder was loose, that's why the tail is wagging.
