Yes it is a "Catch 22" situation. However, if part of ones recovery from depression is having a woman in your life, then recovery is not possible. At least for me this is true. So I am screwed to say the least. I know I will not be able to recover without having a woman in my life. So she is going to have to be a special woman I guess. For me being alone is not safer. In fact it is what is leading to so many of my suicide attempts. Also my health has been declinging rapidlysince I havebeenalone.

Yes Steve, you're probably right about men needing women to be healthy and happy. But it's a catch 22 situation in which it's hard to get into a relationship when you have depression or bipolar disorder like me. I hate to say it but after awhile you just say "to hell with dating" and being alone seems to be safer. Getting into dating with depression isn't wise or realistic. Have to take of care of one's problems first and if they lighten, then it's ok to date.

Since 88% of women and 39% of men are hypo post pit there would be more depressed women than men. However manic depression should be diagnosed if there is the tendency because mania can be just as lethal.This is why I like the measurements described in my videos. Posterior pituitary corrects both mania and depression.

This video needs to be longer. The video did have a good point though that men who have depression and intimate relationship in their lives do much better than single men at recovery. Single men die sooner than married men or men who have women in their lives. Men need women in their lives to be healthy and happy. Steve
