Please read!
Nick has represented an image of inspiration not only for those with diabetes, but for everyone. He pours his heart into every word of this song, every note he sings, and every key he plays on the piano. He spreads an important message. No matter what the circumstance, it is essential for you to hold on just a little bit longer. Nick, Joe, and Kevin have experienced hardships just like the rest of us, and they use their experiences wisely in helping all of their fans through hard times with their songs. You can see the emotions in their faces and hear them in their singing. It is truely an inspiration.
My mom has type 1 diabetes, as well as another serious illness called polymyositis. Ever since I was born, which is when my mom was diagnosed with diabetes, she has struggled through different hardships. Yet, despite this fact, she has remained immeasurably strong. She has not let the many obstacles in her life slow her or her family down. Neither has Nick. This song, along with Nick's story, reminds me of why my mom is my true hero.
Thanks Nick. Thanks JB and the rest of the Jonas family. You guys are quite the inspiration.

(The video's quality was decreased by both the program I used and youtube. It's not quite what I had wanted it to be, but it still carries the same message.)

(I do not claim any rights over the images used in this video. I either googled them or found them on the websites mentioned.)

Thanks for watching! Comments would be appreciated. =)

Lyrics:

Got the news today
But they said I had to stay
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
When I thought it'd all been done
When I thought it'd all been said
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine

But you don't know what you got
Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
Every time you smile or laugh
You glow
You don't even know
No no
You don't even know
All this time goes by
Still no reason why
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
Waitin' on a cure
But none of them are sure
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine

But you don't know what you got
Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
And every time you smile or laugh
You glow
You don't even know
No no
You don't even know
No no
Two, three, four!
Yeah!
And you don't know what you got
Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
And every time you smile or laugh
You glow
You don't even know
No
Yeah
Woah!

[Oooohhh]

So I wait till kingdom come
All the highs and lows are gone
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
I'll be fine

  • Beautiful tribyte. Made me cry. I don't have diabetes but i have a couple of things that i have to live with everyday & this song has really helped me gain strength to never give up & more importantly to hold on a little bit longer. Your description of this vid is perfect. & i'm sorry to hear about your mum but she sounds like a truly amazing woman. xox

  • You just made me tear up. Thank you so much. <3

The fact that Jonas fans can connect so well over this just makes me want to get every single Jonas fan together in one place and have us all sing this song for Nick. That would the most powerful thing, you know? =)

  • Might I ask.. who is whining? My mom has diabetes, as I mentioned in the video description. She doesn't whine and neither does Nick. The point of this video was to show how Nick has turned it around and is doing quite the opposite of whining. He's using it to the advantage of thousands of kids with diabetes.

  • Thanks so much. =)

  • I know what you mean but either way it hurts. I pray that there can be a cure for this so that good & amazing people like i'm sure your aunt was can live a happy 7 healthy life. <33

Thinking & praying for everyone who is battling diabetes xx

  • it would be soo amazing. This songs connects with people on soo many levels. whenever i have a tough day i listen to this song & it makes me believe that i can carry on. This vis is perfect soo thanks soo much for doing it <3

  • thanks. x3

yeah, it really is. i watch the concert experience every friday, and i almost always cry during that song.

  • I'm sorry to hear about your aunt as well. <3

Nick's message really is a universal one, which makes this song that much more powerful to anyone and everyone who listens to it. Not to mention, the speeches he makes during this song at their shows are just... there are no words. At my show, he spoke so confidently of a cure, and that made me tear up more than anything, especially for my mom. =)

I wear one of Nick's dog tags for my mom. So I know what you mean.

  • thank you. <3

i sort of wish i was closer to her, but then i realize how much harder it would have been to lose her if i was.

  • I am soo sorry to hear about your aunt. <3
