The Boeing/Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche was an advanced U.S. Army military helicopter intended for the armed reconnaissance role, incorporating stealth technologies. It was also intended to designate targets for the AH-64 Apache. The RAH-66 program was canceled in 2004 before it was fielded.

  • Another causality of dick-head cheney. 60 billion spent and ready to be put into production; all in the toilet, thanks to that traitor neo-con-artist. I'm so glad that the money was spent for "land warrior" stupidity vaporware, morons with overpriced cameras on their head and rifles.

  • sickkk looking chopper

  • rah-66 vs ka-58 its nice

maybe stealth helicopter its totally fail

but sound no changed and helicopter fly in low altitud so its bad technology for helicopter

  • I used to believe the disinformation too, but where do you think the so called "stealth Helis derived from?

  • come on it was going to be all over the place in 2006..

  • Not the most manuoverable heli, but it's stealthy, and a great mix of both.

  • When are you going to build a helicopter for all of us, come on you can beat Robinson 22s!

  • @ThePatriotMuckraker you're so bitter, take a deep breath...liberals have cut plenty of promising programs...like the Valkerie Bomber etc...and also lay off knocking are guys in uniform they're risking their lives for you....God Bless Our Soldiers have a nice day :)

  • it cost to much money so the army put them in storage "that what they say" and instead went with a upgraded Apache which was much less expensive.

  • Or was it cancelled??

  • It wasn't put in production because of a simple reason: The weapons range is short enough for the point defense system such as Tungiska M1 and Pantsir to spot it early enough. The range is such that radar sees it regardless and a SAM would be launched before Comanche could come within its ATGM or rocket range. Losing such expensive and ADVANCED chopper to RPG, AAA or MANPAD is easy as wars proven. Just wasn't worth it.
