Jesus that was one sided. I heard one of the reasons for McCarthy's decline was that he stopped taking steroids around this time and it shows. Brashear had to have been about fifty times stronger than Sandy at the time of this fight. I wonder if McCarthy even bothered to hit the gym in the 2002 offseason at all.....

@khav11 I don't recall him ever beating Brashear. Brashear always whored Cairns, and I have been watching Isles hockey since the late 1970's.

@mrceebees14 He fought McCarthy to a stand still a few times and then yes, beat his ass at the Garden (I was in second 236 at the Garden for that game) But Brashear? No and I have no love for Brashear, he is a fucking block head. But Brashear never lost a fight to Cairns, Brashear was way to strong for him and the only thing Cairns had was a reach, but that is why Brashear bears hugs and rabbit punches guys like that, he takes away their reach.
